    Mods motors?

    Sent to me on email.

    >>Just don't try to do it on Buell's ridiculous new Ulysses "adventure" bike. Whoever heard of an adventure bike with 17 inch wheels, belt drive and a nipple-high seat? Ideal if you want to get stuck on the Nevis or the old Dunstan.<<

Apparently this is posted on trade me - which I don't do, but isn't publicly demonstrated ignorance a wonderful thing.

I've done a few of the rides listed later in the post and the Bull did them easy.
    Even got photos.

But that's not what the bike is about - I didn't want an 'adventure bike' - i wanted something that can do dirt roads - which it can and does.

Then I can take it out with my mates with speed triples and run with them all day and do the same stunts. I also know what i'd rather spend the 75% of my time I spend riding around the city on. A hard core ktm or an XB? Duh.

'Nipple high' says it all really.

It was from 'Mods motors', which is this semi-random newsletter TM sends to people who express interest in automotive stuff.

That's a load of shit - they didn't even mention that the owners are all overpaid wankers with too much disposable income...they are too scared to write the truth.

    Arrow Yep

Sounds like one of the many emails that I get and simply delete. Ive just scored a TT350 with the same idea as BD, I'm going looking for gravel roads once Ive got it and checked it all out.

From what I could see at Road & Sport the Buell ain't a hell of a different from the V Strom, and we certainly agree on it's intended use. It would be great if I was as skillful as Stretch and could punt the Strom around like a XR250, but back in the real world it ain't gonna happen (and anyway, I got a KTM for that stuff).

A nice comfortable road burner that will do gravel roads, farm tracks and beaches if necessary...
