I think with all these fantastic safety measures, we have still missed something. There is the potential for someone to fall over from going to slowly (as if we would believe that excuse anway).

If someone fell over, they could cause a huge crash, hurting lots of people. We had better add some "supporters" to the sides of our bikes to make sure

    Cool

So I take it some will need trainer wheels to help them keep their bike upright...:slap:

So could our resident fixer-upper please make some sets of trainer wheels.

Don't forget they need to be weld tested and then get a seperate VIN# for each attachment. Then they must be warrented and registerd.

the inspection has been arranged for 12 hours preceeding the ride - to enable any corrective actions to be implemented, and give the dept the opportunity for re-testing, and sign-off.

the dept will also be checking the SWL's of any welding or modifications that have been done to motorcycles - trainer wheels included. Have certification handy people.

Perhaps someone with LTSA contacts could arrange for calibration of our speedometers?

i'm loving this thread. big ups to WT.

    CANCELLED

There's been a shower of rain in the South Auckland area, making motorways slippery and downright dangerous.

I'm sorry folks, we're going to have to postpone this one.

But WT, you can't cancel this ride..

Today is only the 13th.... the ride is for the 14th... which is tomorrow...
Please refer to your first post - thanks.

We have everything organised....OSH, The KB Flag, flashing lights, air horns and trainer wheels.
Everyone is all set to go... You see everyone has all their gear on, 24 hours ahead of time...

You could now start a riot out there on the motorway. :slap:

It's regrettable, but necessary. I mean, those silly motorcycle contraptions don't even have roofs !. So, if it rained, the riders might get WET. And catch colds and all sorts of terrible things.

Also, I have heard unconfirmed rumours of an unsigned llama loose on that section of the motorway. In itself a sufficient reason for cancellation
