    Riding a ZZR through Chernobyl

This russian biker rides her ZZR1100 through the Chernobyl 'dead zone'. She shares some haunting pictures and words on her site.

It looks like an interesting place. quote "marauders in radiation poluted area are not just a regular marauders, they don't steal stuff for themselves. There were cases of radiactive tv sets and other stuff being sold on city second hand markets and then police shot 7 or 8 of them and it helped"
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

Quite fascinating to see the "dead zone." She is game riding through it...but what a buzz it would be have the roads to yourself without any cages endangering your life!

That ghost town/city photo looked like it could be an awesome race track.

    Pretty nasty stuff that radiation.
I wonder whats going to happen when the tons of raidioactive waste the pommie's dumped in the north sea starts to leak out. After all how long can a 44 gallon drum last.I know they are given a life of twenty years in sea water so we can probably exspect to see the results before long.Should be interesting huh!!
And I wonder who's going to get the blame, not that it will matter much.

There are some things that you wish you could Disinvent or a sequence of events that you wish you could relive, But because all that shit happened i guess we really need to focus even more on the prevention and stop dumb arses dumping radioactive waste etc.

man... freaky pictures. I dunno if even having the roads to myself for 130 kms would put a grin on my face enough to beat the depression of riding through such misery.

on second thoughts... those roads through town would be a great place for doing 200kmhr 6th gear wheelies on a ZZR1100!!!

At the end, I she said that she had an email: serpentswall@hotmail.com

So Wari, you going to point her over?

All is not as it seems

This topic was talked about back in April, so go to this link http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=2586 and check it out, as it seems that "Ghost Town" story is a fabrication.
And if you follow Slim's link and read reply #13 by Pulse it may all fall into place. http://www.uer.ca/forum_showthread.a...&threadid=8951

As I understand it, she did go to Chernobyl - but not on a ZZR and certainly not unaccompanied. It was all part of an official visit... something that was carefully hidden in the original text for 'dramatic effect'.

I tried looking in Snopes (THE site for exposing spoofs), but couldn't find anything.
