Do any of you 250rr owners know where I could locate this wire, preferably near the wiring loom. I need to find it to hook up my MC2.
I'll let you all know how it goes when I have it up and running.![]()

Its a red one on the RHS of the bike.

Damn you and your blingass sportvue nigga!
Much better way is to get the wire that goes to the tacho at the front of the bike - playing around with the one that comes from crank sensor can very easily stop the ignition form working at all, or potentially kill your flash gadget (I'm not joking!). I can't remember what colour the wire is, but it come out from spark unit which is behind the left rear fairing not that far from where you sit.
For better info look at the manual here:
I also have the parts manuals (in japanise but its still useful) available for both the cibbys:
Parts manual MC14, MC17 & MC19: http://cbr250.ath.cx/CBR250R.pdf (12.6MB)
Parts manual MC22: http://cbr250.ath.cx/CBR250RR.pdf (6.5MB)

Now I'm at home, I've checked the manual out. You need the yellow/green wire coming out from the spark unit. And I should correct my earlier post - the spark unit is under the seat for the MC22.
Im curious, did you actually cut a red wire?

Cheers Mate, it was actually a solid yellow wire going to the spark unit. The whole thing took around 2.5 hours to install and about 5 mins to set the tire circumfrance, change units to Kph and "teach" it the gears. It comes with everything needed to install and requires no soldering as there are good wire taps provided.Originally Posted by FlyingDutchMan
I used it for a little ride last night and was really impressed by how it worked. You cant even notice the display whilst looking at the road but it is very clear as soon as you glance up slightly and easily grabs your attention when there is a radar alert.
I would recommend it to anyone who uses a radar detector on their bike, sure it is a little pricey but if you aren't on a tight budget it is definately worth it and can easily be installed on multiple bikes. It's also very nice to have an accurate speedo. FYI to any other MC22 owners 110 on the bike speedo is actually 100. 140 is really only about 126 and I'm sure I will find out this evening the accuracy when it is fully taped out...
Good product on the whole with a very comprehensive manual, hopefully there is a bit of competition and the technology goes down in price soon so they are more affordable for everyone.
Yeah it looks mean alright. I'm gonna have to take it out for a good blat before I take off up north.
