    Riff Raff is a swinger

OMFG what a rush! 3 laps of Puke swinging off Goober and Pete's sidecar.

After 30 seconds of instruction from Pete I headed out. First lap was to be a slow lap (didn't feel that slow) with me sitting comfortably and enjoying the experience, then if I wanted to try moving about I could. Well I couldn't wait to get the action going so I did it straight away. I guess Goober was happy enough with my performance, because he cranked it up for the second and third lap. The s-bend by Castrol is a bit hair-raising - it's a pretty quick change from leaning left to right and I was a long way from getting that right. The forces working against you together with moving round on a little platform at speed made it a scary, but exhilirating experience. I'm fortunate that I have a lot of upper body strength from my job, but I still had quite a few 'oh f**k' moments where I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to hold on. Absolutely loved the hairpin - just the right balance of terror and excitement.

Would I do it again - HELL YEAH!!!!! Some of the best fun I've had with all my clothes on.

Thanks to Speedmedic who attempted to get photos - there's some fabulous ones of the track - he says it was 'cos we were going too fast! I blame it on the fact that he's had no sleep for 2 days from helping Team KB between his night shifts!

Thanks Goober for taking me out, and Pete for giving up your spot for me. Muchly appreciated.

I doubt I outdid you mate. But I don't have sore arms (they were just a little bit trembly afterwards), and I didn't collapse afterwards. I just wandered round with a heeeeuuuuuuge grin on my face.

The skinny bugger was a no show - claimed he wasn't allowed to leave work early or something.

Do it! You should head down to Taupo the next time they do a 'have a go' day. Will have to find out when they do the next one and get a few KBers out there. It's seriously good fun.

Yeah ok mate, better to leave unlocked than have you gain entry by one of your other officially sanctioned methods! Just make sure you do the spare bedroom where Kickaha is lurking, or the couch where Goober will inevitably end up to get away from Goobers snoring.

Well, I got to try the outfit on for size today, in the pilots seat of course, and I've got to say, I could seriously see myself racing one of these trike things.

I spent the day hanging out in the pits and the general friendliness and good natured piss taking amongst the outfit boys is a welcome change from the bitching and moaning of the solo riders.
