Anyone else ride a Suzuki GSX1400?

    Hi peoples,

Just new on the forum and wondering if anyone else on the forums rides a GSX1400?

I ride around the Auckland region and have only ever seen one other.

Be interesting to find out if more exist around the country. I love my bike as it's a great all rounder and I thrive on heaps of torque.

Does it have an after market screen.....the wind blast would fuck me off in the winter, otherwise bet its an effortless bike

    Hiya sixpackback,

I don't have an after market screen, don't like them. With the right gear, winters not too bad and the wind blast has never bothered me much till I get over 200kmh, then I just hunker down a bit and it's fine. The clocks seem to throw the wind over you a fair bit anyway.

Yep, it's an effortless bike. If you're lazy you don't need to change down to overtake but if you want some fun, drop a few cogs and it's all on. Handles bloody well for it's size too.

On a side note, I wonder how many Turbo'd Harleys there are out there, with their displacement they'd be wild down the 1/4.

Although I think I'll stick to keeping my Turbo's on my cars, and the bikes NA, coping with spoolup mid-corner is enough of a crisis when you've got four driven wheels, let alone one
