arse!feck!4 days from xmas I bin my shiny red bike

doin' the Balmoral KFC run, lookin' at a left hander I've nailed hundreds of times, I swing the bike out wide to cut in (still memories of Taupo on Sunday) and the rear starts sliding out and I'm on me elbow.

    Contributing factors:
    1 x over ambitious pilot +
    1 x greasy road +
Rear brakes beyond used by date +
No tread left on rear tyre =
    Elbow plant.

That boik is one hard bassa though. You can see it in the background below.

EDIT: finally, a bike related post to celebrate my whoredom of 500 posts!

Tha Jandal: Adding another dimension to "rubber side down"

Jandal [jan-duhl] noun: a mythical entity presiding over bikers
Jandal [jan-duhl] verb: "to jandal" is to involuntarily separate from one's boik.
Jandalled [jan-duhlled] past tense - usage: "bro, I've just gone and jandalled it"

Its a bicycle. Its not the end of the world
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
