been amongst a group that were road blocked to be stopped & the fella who was ticketed was done for in excess of 180kmh coz they couldn't lock the radar on us ( back in late 80s) we'd been in excess of 240, mate got 2yr holiday & fines etc
another mate got done 160 in a 50 zone 2yr holiday & $1000 fine tricked the bike out during the holiday, got licence back 6mths on the road then got done for exactly the same thing & got the same penalty from the same judge:eyepoke:
talked my way out of a ticket once for doing 160 in a 60 zone

been booked at 138 but the most trivial bastard was being clocked at 111kmh on the open road ! fucker must have been on the rag!

I can see the papers saying that some fulla appeared in court today doing over 200k's and making a big deal out of it and then the biker community going bad luck son, i do that to go to the shops.

I havent seen much publicised in papers etc about bikers getting caught doing excessive speeds. Often it is boy racer this and boy racer that. Is it because were to fast to catch??

    Whats your thoughts/Stories??
Most bikers speed because they enjoy going fast and riding at pace, therefore they speed on certain roads eg SH16 which is heavily patrolled, your average person doesnt really mind this, But most boy racers have something to prove and they speed more around town and drag each other in populated places the general public doesnt like this so much, hence the papers concentrating on the boy racers more

man that was lucky to get out of that. A mate of mine told me he got pulled over for speeding and when asked if he had a reason he said he was shooting down to the corner store to get tampons for his misus as it was that time of the month. The cop let him off. When i told him i was impressed by his quick thinking he told me he had been waiting months to use it.

    Sorry if this offends

Charmed my way out of 80km in a 50 zone in the car (female cop) but the only speeding ticket I've had (and it was on my bike) was 69 km in a 50 zone. What a nana!

most I've been ticketed for was 140 on the open road. Once got pulled over doing 140... no rego, no wof. Went up to the cop & said " I BEG you for mercy Officer!" well he started to make up excuses for me! Asked if I was catching up to the bikes in front of me.(I never even knew there were bikes in front of me) Of course I agreed and he told me to keep my speed down cos the cops up the road wont be so forgiving. He didnt even look at my bike, just told me to get on my way. As I was getting back on my bike, my mate drove by with my kids in the car and knew damn well I'd been let off. Haha!
btw I dont ride like that anymore...it was all a long time ago & I have learnt my lesson
