    Husqvarna TE450

At last, I think I've found a new bike. An '04 Husky TE450 with about 130hrs on it. I was wondering if any that owns one (or knows about them) can let me know what, if any, major maintenance I could be up for relatively soon? The bike has a full dealer service history.

Also, it doesn't have a kickstart - electric only. There are obvious cons to this, i.e. if it fails you've only got bumping to rely on. Is it worth sourcing a kick start to add later, or is it simply not necessary?

    All advice appreciated. Cheers.

Can't help you with bike report but will add that i owned an '01 KTM 520 exc for 14 months and only used the kick starter twice and the only reason for that was because at mate dared me to

See no reason to worry about it unless someone who owns/owned one says otherwise. but then you might want to price it up first..................$$$$$

    Have fun.

husky's are great bikes. Marzocci forks, Sach's rear shock, grease fittings everywhere, road legal and a 2 year warranty from the factory ( if regularly serviced at the dealer.....) never had to bump one, even after months of sitting in the showroom unstarted (drain the carbs before you hit the electric foot though...)

4 stars ( PS: the TE250 has the 450 bigend...)
