I've taken my bike for a 'test ride' around the block with no helmet countless times, it's a fuckin awesome feeling.......and I'm sure many here have done the same........

Live like that in Lake Havasu, Arizona, riding like that is like riding is without boots in NZ, - it's o.k. but when you fall off you wish you were wearing good boots.!!
But in Arizona it is a matter of practicality and law.
And the fact that most of the interstate is two lanes each way so there is little liklihood of hitting traffic going in the opposite direction.

It's interesting how the mind works, or doesn't.
2 trees, metres apart, and the one he hit was only the width of his tyres.
Still, he managed to hit it dead square on. NOW THAT IS TALENT
    Keep it rubber-side down...

    ok, thats pretty funny, BUT

this monday, I went to see my old mate, first time on my bike. there was a bbq going on there. I parked on the street, but my mates immidiately got the bike into the backyard looking at it, sitting on it and commentiog/etc. Obviously (as it usually is), soon they asked me for the keys, so they can have a 'spin' around the backyard, after all it's big section of lawn backyard there, what bad could happen.............................

obviously I refused to give them keys (just to start it up and listen to it.... yeah, right !), but asfter half an hour of nagging I gave up and gave my mate the keys. he was wearing only shorts and sunnies, I warned him that the bike will slip easily if he twists the throttle too fast/far. He asure me he rode bikes before and he know what he's doing..... well... guess what happened.....

he went around the backyard once and then he twisted the throttle 'bit more' ..........

he was behind some trees and all I hear is...
    THUNK... SNAP....PUUUUURRRR..OH...F***!!!!

he was probably moving slowed than walking speed when the bike fell on his leg and squashed it pretty bad, he was bleeding from several places on his right lef (no shoes). luckily exhause pipe is on the right side.... he broke my front bikini and he's fixing it as we speak.... no other damage to the bike (after all it was on the lawn).

nobody wanted to 'have a ride' after that, haha !
