Arrow Wellington biker down in Upland Rd.

I was on the bus (I had been dropped in town so that's my excuse ok) and I heard over the bus RT that someone on a motorbike had come off in Upland Rd and an ambulance was on the way.

Anyone know anything further about this?? It was at about 12.45 today.

Haven't heard anything. Hope he/she is okay. The road would have been very greasy - I was walking along Tinakori Road at that time, and it had been spitting lightly, the surface was oily as shit.

As I teetered along on new unscrubbed tyres in the wet today. (I ride to work up Raroa road and to Thorndon through Wadestown via Wilton Road.) Someone, Bus I think has dripped diesel most of the way. Very, very slippery.

    Thumbs down

One of my workmates saw someone get knocked off this morning at the Vivian/Taranaki street intersection. The lights weren't working and 2 Officers were directing traffic.

The accident happened right in the middle of the intersection in front of the officers apparently.

More to the point, Wellington road users don't have to worry about you anymore, unless you come up for a holiday

Phew. Glad I'm in Auckland. Too many crashes in Wellington. I bet those hilly roads are like ice in the rain.
