wanted - cheapish, secondhand dirt bike?

Hi guys, sorry for the duplication - i posted this in Trading too - hope i don't upset anyone by posting in here...

Does anyone want to sell a road registered dirtbike (general use and low maintenance - not an EXC or YZ etc...)?

I will be in the Nelson area for six months from April and rather than bringing my KTM over from aus (its $500 just to ship it), i would like to buy a cheapish dirt bike. Don't care what condition its in cosmetically as long as its reliable and mechanically sound with a WOF. I will be using it for some gentle trail riding, riding around on some land I have over there and some general exploring...

I would prefer an XR400 or XR250 but would look at a DR, KDX, KLR, DT, TT, IT, PE, MTX or whatever, of whatever vintage - anything from a 125 upwards.

If anyone wants to rent a similar bike out for 3-6 months then let me know too...

I will be in Christchurch for a while too so can look anywhere in the upper south island...

can anyone suggest any decent bike dealers or sources of people selling bikes in the Nelson area?

My brother usually has his finger on the motorbike selling pulse of Nelson.
Call the Nelson Motorcycle Centre and ask for Shane.
Tell him Fran said to call.
