anyone here on the trial of rainkote.

im doing the rainkote trial from the US and wanted to know if anyone else from here is participating in it?

ive had mixed results from it.
if i use it on my visor and go in the rain its awesome but if i rub the visor with glove or wet rag at servo it seems to smear a bit and really pisses me off.
i may be doing it wrong when i apply it so thought i'd ask to see if anyone else is doing it.

    cheers SBF

Saw your post and thought I would ask a bit more. My company is doing this trial and I really appreciate this kind of feedback.

We have not heard or seen smearing before. Nor is it expected as the coating should be microns thick after it is well polished. So I am concerned that you are seeing something that we have missed.

Could you try this? Clean your shield well. I suggest using Plexus or isopropyl alcohol or one of those magic sponges from Mr. Clean. Once your shield is clean of the existing Koting, apply RainKote again per the directions but apply it only to the top half of your shield. This way you can see the difference that RainKote makes, if any.

Also make sure you polish maybe twice as long as normal. In our tests, the more you polish, the better the kote. So when the shield seems perfectly clear, go ahead and polish another minute or so. Try to avoid polishing onto the area that is not Koted.

Now try to duplicate the smearing you got at the servo (is that what we call a gas station?) by wetting a glove or towel and wiping across.

Please email me with results, I am very interested!!
