Took my bugs for a ride

Been feeling crook for a few days ... just a sort of fluey / chesty thing that's been going around here.
Anyhoo, Mrs Oakie and I went for a ride to the supermarket to get something yesterday and felt quite a bit better for the 1.5km ride when we got there so decided to take the long way home. 52 km later we pulled back into the drive and felt really good again. Probably something to do with dopamine (the 'feel-good' juice the brain produces when you experience pleasure) and I guess the amount of 'feel good' in my system outweighed the amount of 'feel bad'. So there ... feeling marginally crook? ... take a ride on your bike.
Now if only I can convince my doctor to give me a medical cert for a few days off work and at the same time instead of prescribing drugs, prescribe going for a decent ride each day.

And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

Have had the same experience but with skiing. Was sick as a dog but simple fresh air and exercise works wonders!! Hope you are back to 100% soon!!!

(Would a doctor prescribe 91 octane or 96 octane...? )
