There's a place in Oz that chromes anything (apples, car dashboards, I mean anything). It's not cheap, but you could get the whole fairing done

Have a look at some of the local boi racers cars

- they seem to find colours that stick out...........

I think a very light blue metallic or a high-gloss candy apple red.... but what ever you do - DON'T PAINT IT IN KALIDOSCOPE OR COLOUR-CHANGE PAINTS! I consider them very tacky and they don't look tidy.........
