Got my Restricted Today

I got my letter from the LTNZ accepting the CBTA coarse I and some fellow KB'ers did earlier in the month, hopefully full lience late next month!

Sure does, but I keep changing my mind every 5 minutes. I'll have a good amount to spend which gives my to many options! I love motards, but can't tour on one, love a Busa, but not an everyday run around. No dout I'll keep chenging my mind till the last minute.

I've been checking everything out, but I've asked a few very experienced riders about buying my next bike and they say buy the bike you're still going to be happy with in a years time. At the moment I'm leaning towards the Aprilia Tuono as it suits my 6'3" 108kg frame.

It's a shame it's been stopped, they tidied up a few of my bad riding habits that no amount of time would have corrected. I wish all car drivers were made to do a coarse like this! (maybe a lot safer for us)

Yep, did it with Passrite, expensive but I want to get off the 250 ASAP as I dwarf the poor bike (117kg, the bike that is).

Hey GirlyGirl,
Thought we might have seen you at the CBTAF yesterday, but obviously not. Had booked for 21 Jan but got a phone call from Passrite Thursday to ask if we could do it on the Saturday.

15 of us this time, quite a few from our Nov course, but 5 who hadn't been with Passrite before. FYI, about 1hr theory only, then rest is out on the bikes. You'll have to do the U turn again, this time on Goodman Place, which is wider. Then its out on the roads, going MW to Ellerslie, Manukau, Alfriston, Clevedon via Twilight (A guy almost came off on the twisties here and failed not because of the mishap, but because he was so shaken up he rode the rest of the ride at 70km/h), then Maraetai, Howick Village, Pakuranga and passrite via Waipuna.

We missed out on lunch in Clevedon cos the place they use was closed, so got back to Passrite at 1pm for debrief etc, and that was it. They assess the whole ride, but as long as you do what they wanted at the restricted course, you'll be fine.
