    I was thinking...

Starting tomorrow, (my day off today) I might start a True or False thing.

Now being a factual true or false would just be too easy. I would be thinking it would be alot harder if the question was Is it true or false that someone at foodstuffs PN said this was true?

It must be GSX1100 owners, we have a guy at work thats got a 1990 and always talking about how hard he rides it, his suspension upgrades, it's 136 ponies and the awesome noise the yoshi makes at 6000rpm, i've seen the bike and it's in mint condition and does sound great and everything but everytime we ask him out for a ride he has to take his son to swimming or has to do the wife thing blah blah

He wanted take the bikes to lunch one day at work and i suggested the old albany road up to silverdale and he said "that sounds like a nice quiet ride" and i gave him the "quiet?!?! not planing on it" and all of a sudden he had too much work on so i went alone, and had a hell of a time.

I do what i can to avoid the bike topic with him now.

I've got a mate that spouts shit all the time and last week he was telling me about how he got air on his GSXR750 going over the Takas a couple of weeks ago. I'm like what ever!!!

So anyway late last week I went for a ride over the Takas and coming up to the part that they've just sealed by the lakes lookout I see this car coming down the hill go over this massive bump. I'm thinking that this must be where he was talking about so I grabbed a bunch of throttle and hit it about 70ks...the front didn't come up and I don't think the rear did either although it did unload the suspension enough to break traction.

So I guess he could have been telling the truth, or maybe he's still bullshiting...I guess I'll never know.

He was probably telling you a half-truth!

So would that bump make a good jump or what? Safe landing distance, etc? If so, why didn't you "get air" too dude?

He claims that he was already going fast through that section and didn't notice the bump until he was pretty much on it.

Myself on the other hand was obeying the post limit of 50ks as the last time I was up there, none of it had been sealed. I just didn't see the bump early enough to get enough speed. Heading up the hill it'd be pretty safe, coming down is not so safe as it goes quickly into a left hander and the suspension just didn't (opps, I mean wouldn't) like turning in while the suspension was unloaded.
Some of the other Wgtn riders could probably comment on getting air...come on, you know where I mean.

still better than my ZX10. Mine has got "suzuki" plastered all over it and half the motor is missing. But if I close one eye and put my hand over the other I can tell it is really a zx10 in disguise...
