So I guess he could have been telling the truth, or maybe he's still bullshiting...I guess I'll never know.
I'm pretty sure I got both wheels off the ground on the Makara road once, I wasn't going fast, it was just circumstance of bouncing off one bump and onto another. Not cool. Your friend may not be full of shit.

Either that, or his GSXR sits in the garage too much and the suspension has seized...

    This reminds me of..

Slightly different event. But some other people on this site were there and will remember. Those East-West Sprint races last year (Where I came very last.. It was great fun). The organsisers were saying "NO WHEELIES okay?! NO WHEELIES AT ALL" and all these people moaned and groaned and moaned some more. I didn't have a problem with this, my little 250 didn't pop (Sad ones, and I don't have the skill) monos unless I tortured it, and not been the sort to want to waste money on clutches, I didn't.

So anyway, at lunchtime, the organisers said "Okay! Since you were all so keen, it's wheelie time! So all of you come forward"

    ...

    Silence...

    "Come on.."

So three people went up (At least a dozen were complaining earlier).

One riders monos were quite sad, another, well, he was learning. At least they tried.

One guy, however, saved the day, he was really quite good at them. He didn't go silly fast, didn't wobble all over the show. He put on a good show.

So yeah, sometimes the ones making the most noise are talking the most crap.

doing wheelies, and doing wheelies in front of a crowd of bikers are two completely different things, the wheelie session at the taupo track day i was so nervous on the first few runs i thought i was gonna have to go and hide in the bushes after a completly shite wheelie! on the third attemt though i got the hang of it ,,,, though in saying that on the back road in the middle of nowhere i can do some really good ones ,,, hahahahha typical!

I just laughed and let him go. You know you can but why bother..

maybe its the air round here.

another guy at work today was trying to convince the girls his zxr250 had a top speed of 250k/hour. I choked on my coffee when he said it and he says.. whats wrong with you. I couldn't not say anything so I said it probably could with a long downhill and heavy tailwind. He was all.. No no of course it can. its had alot of work done to the motor and it is the fastest 250 he has ever ridden (can't argue that. its probably the only 250 hes ever ridden)

He went on to say that he is selling it anyway because it is not fast enough and is buying an 1988 Aprilla 600 for $2500 Dying to see that one...

Hey cowboyz, that guy sounds like a few learners I have come across lately. Tell him to go for a ride with you infront of the girls at work and just throw in the comment "When the flag drops the bullshit stops eh mate" and see his reaction.
