that may be fine in any other country but we live in a country that punishes police for doing their job, so if you even pulled the fingers at the stealers you could probaly get taken to court for hurting their feelings
Well what would you do? Run through the streets stark naked at 350 miles per hour with bells on your toes?

I think the climate is slowly changing....
The average cop will "look the other way" if a captured felon has some injuries consistant with "falling over whilst attempting to escape before he was apprehended"
or - as a senior sergeant told me once - if the offender is lying on the ground unconcious, tip a bit of booze over him - guy must have been pissed and fell over--------

    Arrow Yep, sucks allright.

Probably some lazt twat that has never worked a day in their life. Some people should have their nuts cut off so that they cannot contaminate the genepool.
Those who insist on perfect safety, don't have the balls to live in the real world.

There was a case about 5-6 years ago, where a guy was riding with his son & neighbour's son. Him & his son stopped at one point to wait for the neighbour, heard him riding along, then bike stopped. Bike then started & headed other way. They rode back to the carpark & no sign of the youngster. When it started getting dark, still no sign of him. Eventually they did find him (it was either dusk or dark, can't remember) - he was walking along, crying. Some charming person had decided he needed the JR80 more than the little one riding it did, so had knocked him off & taken the bike.
The car had been spotted during the day, but it had no plates & no one thought to phone the cops about it (heard about it later that weekend & met someone checking out all the JR80s at a trailride a while later in the hope that the nicked one was there).
Not sure if they ever found the lovely people or what happened to the kid, but I hope he did continue riding.
At least they didn't get your bike, I guess.

Whats the world come to when you can't take your young fulla down the river for a bit of time out with the old man without some scum of the earth suck hole ficking it up. What does your young guy think of life now he will grow up with no trust of any bugger (may not be a bad thing). We brought our young guys a lt50 for Xmas we only rang the insurance company today about it, life would end if anything happened to it. I hope the scumbags nuts fester and drop off (not that they had nuts to do what they did).

This really stinks R1. Hope you have been able to explain this to the young 'un and that he is able to get back on the husky soon.

Agreed, that really sucks , I can imagine my wee fella playing with his bike ..
anyway you still have the bike,

But my question is WHERE is this stolen stuff going to ?? I can understand big countries , but NZ has only 4 million people and MOST if not all of the people who ride bike are on this forum. ( wouldnt be far short!!!)

So HOW are these skuzzzys getting rid of bikes ? Gangs? Shops wreckers?? I mean there were 2 very distinctive Aprillias stolen ....on a container overseas? Customs check ??

Is all the theft to fuel drugs??? or has the povety line been lifted again???

I remember back in the day, Triumphs were the thing ...lifted out of people bedrooms etc , with leather jackets.

    Just a thought

Hope the wee one is ok ...and happy again....
