God ! I can't believe I'm saying this... but here goes um, gulp... gotta say that 100 / 110 ( which mine is ) is freakin embarassing when the engine is 1200cc. Theres bikes out there with less cubes and they are pulling 170hp. And I am saying this as a Buell obsessed maniac!!
However i reckon what my bike lacks in HP it makes up for in torque and handling, depending what bike mag you read the Buell is known to be 1 of the quickest cornering production bikes on the market.

100hp aint too bad for a rickarty OLD HD engine, thats standard too -racekits improve that a bit.
Unfortunately the last few posts show how much you dont know really.... but at 17 neither did I...you'll figure it out kid..just dont kill yourself trying huh?

i have heard that the newer buells are really good handling. i dont really like the idea of an aircooled vtwin at all though. they would be very torquey though

Interesting you should say that BB, I was talking to Big Dave the other night and he made very much the same comment about his new Buell (aka The Tractor)! He is currently looking for a buyer for his old Trumpy that now gets neglected cos of his love with said Buell.

I've only ridden the XB9S with race kit, but I would have to say there's not been many other bikes I'd prefer to go over the 'takas on.

And 90HP out of the 900 motor with race kit was a perfect amount of power for that bike.

If I won lotto a Buell would be one of the first bikes on the list.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I ride an XI. The rear brake is just the old Harley brake and quite frankly not that great but the front is dynamite, infact Buells are known to have very touchy brakes. Just the other day I had to brake HARD over a very short distance and there was not a quiver to be felt. perfect.

The world rolling stoppie record was held (briefly) by a dude riding an XB12R. Might have regained it by now. I don't know as stoppies are for people who can't do wheelies but at the time he went something like 240 meters, hoisting the rear wheel at 140 mph.

I'd say the brakes are "fair to middling"
