This almost makes my brain hurt.

So you want to make a bracket to hold a carb? Wouldn’t an inlet manifold be better?

& then you want to run an RM80 carb? A bike that makes maybe 20hp, onto an engine that makes say 5 when new?

. . . Ok well that is possible, but you need to have everything matched. The inlet especially. There is no point having a huge carb & then restricting it down to a 16mm inlet is there? C’mon.

But Skunk’s comments are the most pertinent. 4 speed box means the torque is going to fall off too far in between gear-changes if you don’t have a good spread of power. High revving engines do not. My RG barely gets away with 6 & judicious clutch, but 7 or 8 would be better. Read Graham Bells 2 stroke book, there is a good explanation.

This is a truly miserable engine if you want high power. If you want easy to ride -then step right up. Bit more compression is about all I would do to it.

More importantly RG100 - what the hell is Bayden up to? Any more races planned?

That means it won't be doesn't it?

Define 'rideable' while you're at it.

    There's a 120% chance my 125 won't be raceable today.

It was 'going' 3 weeks back.

Is it for a gear linkage adjuster? may be easier to get it screwcut on a lathe.

Not desperate yet but getting there. Haven't found anyone to cut it on a lathe for less than $70 so far. I've started a thread to see if anyone got help.

Ok ridable is when the engine is running and you put it in gear and let the clutch out and it rolls forwards and if you dont rev it enough it will stall.

And It will be I have access to everything and I just machined my Aprillia last wdnesday and got my new rear sprocket to add onto it today and also have a chain and a tank and a seat etc all I need to do is put the newsprocket on hopefully an hour max thats to fit it and make sure it fits the bike correctly.

Also I have a test track called the college quad to ride around on and when I get it rideable Ill take a video on dads camera phone and put it up on here for all you guys to see and my smile will be from ear to ear
