The oft quoted figure by the road safety authorities (NZ, Aust, UK) is around 30%. When analyised by independant sources, accidents caused by people exceeding the speed limit runs around 7% - 9%.
The rest are, too fast for the conditions, following too close, inattention, etc.
But it suits the cause to lump them all in with speed.
    Speed doesn't kill people.
    Stupidity kills people.

    Interesting.
So there is nowhere you can go to look this stuff up?

Easy way is just to pay thefine and be on my way, that is such a better system than here in the uk, we get "points" for everything. I am on 6 at the moment for speeding, 12 and licence goes back to DVLA. Got them all in the bloody car which is the worst of it. Lucky I am moving soon.

We get 3 points usually for speeding. After 3 years they are removed from your licence, how long do your "demerits" take to be removed?
If someone passes you he is a nutter and you expect to pick him off the blacktop round the next corner, if you pass someone they are a slow and have all the gear and no idea
