pick your time and place, plenty of good roads to enjoy.
10 of us went to Taupo the other day via the long way not one spoiler to be seen the whole way. The majority of the ride was at the speed limit though. A great day out was had by all.

As at the moment I live in Scotland, I am unable to comment on how to get away from the T/cops, yet, but once I am there next month I will start working on it, the riding in a gaggle of bike one sounds great until the L plater can't keep up and takes everyone down, not seen this happen but heard the urban myth.

Anyway, we usually take a T/cop with us as our get out of jail free card, cops anywhere in the world will not do other cops, unless they don't like each other. Also when you get out of Glasgow and up the Highlands there is very few cops, then when you get to the islands there are none and above Ullapool(mid way up) there are none, so as you please.

I also lived on the Isle Of Man for 5years and it was superb passing the cops at 150-160mph(not kpm) over the mountain section, now that was awsome. In the towns and villages the speed limit is 30mph(50mph) and outside there was no speed limit, nice for biking but strange people. Banjo players.

nah all that is needed is the lead guy pulls up and rings on the good ole trusty mob to warn the others ... wont even cost a cent as it will only be enough to set the receivers vibrating phone off.

the flaws in the plan however are:
a) receiver forgets to set to vibrate - doh!
b) receiver is extremely popular and gets numerous calls through out the journey making it an extremely sllooooowww ride - doh doh!
c) and then there is always the NO RECEPTION problem - doh! doh! doh!

like any plan is bulletproof?

I can't believe a court in any just society would accept this.However in good ol' Nazi NZ I'd believe it.

Nah, he was bluffing - cos he was bluffing!!

He'd know he wouldn't 'get home' with that ticket - but it's good for a wind-up - and makes for a good drinking topic by the bikers late on "f'nn hell, glad I dont travel on front" and "Nah, he can't do that - can he??" etc

Doesn't work so well if you're on a slow and/or fat bike.

A bunch of mates of mine were travelling in a group of about six and agreed that if one got pulled over the others would carry on and meet up at the next stop.
As they were approaching Murchison they saw the lead guy stopped with a cop so they carried on and stopped at the Murchison pub.
A bit later the cop pulled up outside, wound down the window and said "your mate's a bit pissed off with you lot, he's run out of gas and you just left him........".
He gave one of them a ride back with a can of petrol.
