course it's the noise, we wouldn't want to accuse anybody of using the road as a race track, would we.

In the UK car and bike premiums are very expensive, far more so than here. One of the main reasons why it's so expensive is because it's compulsory. The fkers have you over a barrell. Everyone has to have insurance, so you have to pay the premiums. And, of course, collusion and price fixing is illegal under European law.......allegedly.

But I'd still vote for compulsory insurance.

    Where's Bykey Cop?

...and he was stupid enough to send you a letter saying that? Jeezuz, why did you not give it to the cops? Point is, he could easily have killed you- he had obviously learned F.A. from the experience if he was getting shitty about 150 measly bucks! Grrr.

I was only about 16 at the time, and wasn't as wordly about fighting those types of things as I as I am now. You are right I probably should have done more about it at the time, but I also recall feeling a wee bit guilty afterwards, I mean that the damage wasn't that bad, and I was ok, and he ends up with a DD charge. On the other hand he was a stuck up yuppie who lived in St Heliers, who could have killed me, so really no regrets.
Some days it's not even worth chewing through the restraints.

Insurance is VERY expensive in England and Ireland, I knew a 20 year old guy who was paying 2000 pounds a year to insure a 1991 Ford Fiesta (Not modified!)

I think Insurance should be compusory but the Government would have to regulate the prices and make sure they they did not jump steeply

Its good in theory anyway until someone pays out the government with donations towards their campaigns
    ¿Porque no ?

um. civil proceedings (cost recovery) vs criminal (prosecution) dont have anything to do with one another. You have six years to claim I think... if you want some help PM me.

Well I got charged with dangerous driving for nearly being rear ended by a police car. And ended up in court. And they were nice enough to drop it to careless, which worked out cheaper for me so I went with that option. That was back in the days when charges meant nothing to me so I just took the cheapest option at the time.
