Ride route north of Auckland?

What are a few good routes not too far north of Auckland.

Meeting a mate at a bach near Snells Beach but wanting to stretch the bikes legs a bit afterwards, so was thinking of heading to Mangawhai and Waipu, any ideas for after that?

Theres a huge straight at waipu when I first got my bike I went up and down there about 6 times tryn to get the thing to top out. a couple of driveways though ,so not ideal puke is way better for topping our gay bikes out. But if your in waipu just do the loopback whangarei dargaville maungaturoto Endless straights and few good corners just out of whangarei. Be safe Saslex.

state highway 16 from wellsford to helensville is an excellent road

Ended up doing a little figure 8 thing to Mangawhai then west to SH1 up the Brendrwyns through Waipu and back down through Mangawhai

Maybe once the bike is not so nice and shiny I will take it out on a few more adventurous routes
