Front tyre won't die!
I have a Bros 400.
When we bought it it had a new Kings front tyre on it. I have now done 27,000k on it and just had a new warrant issued on the bike.
When we bought the bike we looked at the tyre and laughed and commented that it looked like it was made for Russian roads, however, the tyre just keeps on keeping on. I bought a new IRC RX01tyre for the bike recently, but the old one just won't die!

Is the tyre manufactured from 'Russian hardwood'...does the tyre have air contained within it, or is it solid [ heavy steering could be a good indicator]......it would be fair to say your next front tyre could handle far greater levels of cornering and braking force.[pt]

Hmmm had a TT100 that just would'nt wear in the centre. Looked very pyramid shaped after a godzillion miles. Thankfully it got a flat, at night, just passed Waiouru and was totally stuffed by the time I arrived at a friends place at Turangi. The friggin case had gotten that hard over the years it wasn't funny

ive had a kings rear tyre fitted to my cruiser and its hardly got any wear on it at all.its been on for 3 months now and im doing 300ks a week all weather.
cant fault it.good in the wet better in the dry.

Strange but true.................... As I mentioned the tyre was that hard, no way was it going to roll off the rim. Obviously it was a lower speed than usual, I knew the rd fairly well and bugger all traffic. Jeez the TT100 was still tight trying to lever it off the rim when I went to remove it. Happened on the '76 Cb550fa, which I still have- steel rims and all that.You rode the desert rd,at night,with a flat??
Did I tell you about the time I sorted the points when one set crapped on the ol gal on the gravel rd back from Cape Rianga using eletrical wire and super glue?Or the time when the main fuse holder shat itself on the Viniga Hill Rd? How about when a gents drive chain lost it's link on the way to a Cold Kiwi and I gave him a spare I had -was riding a shaft drive CX500 at the time.

Finally put my new tyre on tonight. The Kings tyre has done 30,000k and still has tread and is warrantable, but the front end of the bike is starting to shake a bit.
Don't think my new tyre will last that long!
