interesting.. wonder how many will make it to the public-only market?
And traction control? is that a first for such a machine, or even bikes? That'd make it crap for burn outs!

nah, the ZX14 (as it's also being called) is up against the busa, and bigger cc'd bikes. Isn't as great at corners etc. Plus, the ZX14 isn't allowed in the WSB, which is what this bike is aimed at. For a bike to qualify in the WSB, I think they have to sell at least 500. So it could be a small number only, or, they could just say fudge it, well do both.. like the way they do the ZX6.

But the thing is, the ZX6RR is a qualifier, but the ZX6R (636) isn't (for major-calss racing). But both ZX10s would be. So then, why keep the ZX10R at all? Cost may be..?

Not really, different market. the ZZR1400 fits a similar slot to the Hayabusa and the Blackbird.

Yes, but the ZZR1400 was marketed as a flagship thing. If they are going to bring out another 200hp bike, it´d have to be well after the ZZR1400, otherwise they´d lose out on the hype and sales..... that and getting 200bhp from a 1000 is much harder than getting it from a 1400cc engine....

may be they have ADD or something then..
The ZX14 is most likely to be good at what it does - go in a straight line, very fast, and has a huge 1400cc production engine.
The ZX10RR is going to be just mental. It'd probably beat the ZX14 hands down all round since it'd be lighter and more nimble. But they both would appeal to different markets. So, if anything, they could be the flagship bikes of their market..?
The other thing, is that the ZX10RR might not be a mass-produced bike, they appear to be a bit quiet about that.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

The ZZR1400 would be more of a perfomance driven tourer. I wouldn't like the idea of a ZX10RR as a tourer.
