Hey in the thead that i was talking about coming off and asking about protective clothing somone said something regarding jeans espeshaly made for bikers.. now is there anything speshal about them?

I kinda asume they are stronger. and so ask this question how good are they compared to the sinthtic armer stuff. and which brands should i go for?

so you saing they do not have armer in them so they wont protect from hitting stuff like cars etc... but they will protect you when sliding along the road??

In my honest opinion (even tho I'm a newbie rider) I reckon you are better to spend your money on proper riding pants rather than jeans (we've had discussions about this before). It's better to be over cautious b/c once you realise that those jeans weren't enough protection it may too late.

Im planing on geting some proper stuff sinthic stuff with armer, but its just a pain to say go to work, and have to take it all on and off again, or just into town.. so i am wondering about geting jeans i can wear around town as such and when i go triping wereing the other stuff... having sayed that its been to weaks sinses i came of and my knee is still not healed over.

kevlar is asstrong as steel but flexible ( at least thats what the advertising says) i have some draggin jeans, and they feel nice and thick around knees whichis the parti'm the most worried about, havn't had a spill in them so couldn't tell you for sure how good they are, I remember seeing a post about the drag distaces for different materials, jeans were crap, kevlar average, leather the best. anyone remember?

I remember a video for kevlar bike pants showing a guy beeing towed by a bike while sitting down on the road. If memory serves me right they draged him up to 100 km/h.

You can just put a slit in the Draggins knee and insert CE armour you can buy from bike stores.

The armour protects from impact the kevlar from abrasions - you need protection from both. Draggins will help when sliding down the road - but NOT when you first hit the road or anything else

PS - I had XL Spidi Range Trou for sale with CE armour in them....waterproof too

http://www.dragginjeans.com.au/ have a look at the site, ive got some but haven't binned on them (nor planning too either). There is videos of people getting dragged on their arse etc on the website, one guy got towed behind a dragster to 140kmh...... I think they are great for commuting, because of comfort and the speed that you are doin will result in brusing but generally not broken bones.

So too summerise, buy them, they cost about $238-$239 (But motomail had them for $199 on sale)
