Not being smart, but do you mean the ER-6n?
I read in mag articles that the bike is excellent for the price, but as Motig says, not sold on the looks at all. Maybe the black one.

If you dont want heresay, then ya gotta read some online articles that are generated by some mags .

    www.motorcyclistonline.com is a good start. www.onewheeldrive.net also.

    Oh...and welcome to the site.

Grego, I took the demo at Wgtn Motorad for a spin. I've owned both the GS500 and kawasaki ER5 (500 twin) years ago. Both are top mid size bikes. The new 650 twin is even better. It will be a brilliant commuter but has plenty of go for anything else you want to use it for. As you would expect from anything new it does everything well - Comfy, good brakes lots of cornering clearance & torquey motor. I liked the styling and the price is lower than I would have expected kawasaki to pitch it at. If that's the style & size you are looking at go for it and it should be cheap to run as well. Let us all know what you go with but for the money can't see anything better on offer myself. The black looks great but the grey/red frame not quite right for me.

I believe you mean the GSR as the GSF is the Bandit.

    Thanks to all.
I have taken one for a short ride in Palmy and the seating position is what counts for an old git like me. I agree that there are plenty of bikes on the market that look better but I would only last minutes on them befor something would cramp up. On the GS 500 I can do an hour -with panadols.
Should have mu ER6 in about 10 days, its the yellow one.

Actually I was wondering if somebody allready had any feedback on the donk, as it is "sleevless"
So what, the piston just runs in the Aluminium ??????
    That worries me a bit.
My last ,and only ever Kwaki was a KZ 400 (1976) and it sized the engine during running in..................................

Very few new bikes these days seize mate. I don't know the theory behind the sleeveless cylinders, but it must be OK if Kawa are using it.

BMW bikes have been "sleeveless" bikes since the mid '80s..............
