My Honeymoon In The South Island

    I won!!
    Wooohooooo!!!!

Ms Biff wanted to lie on some boring beach on some remote island, I wanted to rider the BiffBirds down south, taking in Wanaka, Queenstown, Milford the west coast etc.

    Guess who won? ME!! Woohooo.

So - suggestions of somewhere to stay between Queenstown and Hokitika (too far for one days ride allegedly) please?

Any other suggestions for places to stay/visit would be more than welcome.

Fox Glacier is a nice place - lots of nice romantic spots around there for lovey-dovey honeymooners.

Mate, she agreed with what you said... but don't ever think you've won.

Then you're oblivious to her pulling some stunt like making you carry every outfit and item of makeup she owns on the back of the bike...

Lake Tekapo is nice too. We're staying there on the way back from the Wanaka airshow at Easter.

Just bowl round to my place mate, I can put on a good posh accent and be a butler. MissSniper can wear that maids outfit you seem to want her to wear.

There is loads of great accomodation in Qtown mate from backpackers and holiday parks to the Heritage. Leaving there its a fair bloody hike all the way up to Hokitika mate, you may want to stop somewhere in between say around Fox Glacier or Franz Josef. If you do wanna stop in Franz let me know as a mate of mine is a glacier guide there and I may be able to get you a free or highly discounted trip up the glacier if he is working on the day.

    Thanks for the advice guys.

SC - Don't think we'll be heading as far east as you sorry mate. But it's a very kind offer none the less. Although visiting you would be worth it - if only to see that moustache of yours....

Sniper - Thanks for the offer to see your missis in her maids outfit (again). It's tempting.

Since you're in honeymoon mode, the luxo Lake Moeraki lodge just north of Haast is real nice, if a bit spendy.

    Cheers
