Certainly pays to keep your cool, you are more vulnerable than them. I had an incident in Auckland - I had my black leather backpack - yeah a woman's "handbag" on my back - in my leathers - and a carload of guys came up beside me on the motorway and said "Poofter" - I have a flip top helmet and before I could think about it I had flicked it up and yelled back suggest ya get the sex right fwits - they looked pretty astounded - I certainly powered on pretty fast after that!

Wot Allun said. Classic example; I was in New Plymouth recently. Was waiting for a gap to cross a busy two or three lane street and some dick in a Peugeot screams to a halt behind me. I was tired and cold after a 5 hour ride in the rain so was waiting for a decent safe gapto cross but this cunt behind me starts honking and yelling "Fuckin learn how to drive...Fuck" etc so I calmly ignore him and wait for the next gap. After I cross the road I stop at the next set of red lights. He pulls up two lanes over and continues his neanderthal tirade for a bit. Again I ignore him. Hes a Fucktard and doesn't deserve my energy or attention. Though dissapointed with his attitude to a fellow human being I stay calm and my day is not ruined. Easy.

Just ignore the silly fucks and report the ones who really need reporting. Don't waste your happiness and peace of mind on idiots who's attitudes you can't change anyway.

Some people are just born wankers

Yeah I had a run in with a guy in a clapped out red cage on the east coast road. I came up behind him - fairly fast I admit but I didn't tail gait him, as I moved out to overtake him he moved over to block me. Just gave it a bit more welly and left him behind. I did give him the finger afterwards just for being a cock. Then he came up on the inside of me at the silverdale lights pulled in front and jabbed his brakes on so hard he locked up in front of me. He was a fat little old bastard too. I followed him for a while then gave up when I'd calmed down.

Its really not worth getting involved with people like that though, you really don't know who youre messing with, some people will go way too far, most of us are decent human beings. There are some out there who won't stop till youre not moving. Steer clear of them - you can get a pretty good make on people when you meet em face to face - on the road you don't get that chance.

when we were riding out at windy ridge recently - my friend
(she rides a VTR1000) got called a wanker by a passing driver (cos the people didn't
know "he" was actually a "she" ) they just assume us females on bikes are blokes
