So I was right after all, I had it pegged as Bald Ald Buggers...which is obviously pretty much the same thing

    Bikers against boy racers Lou?

And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds

Damn another bike gone *mental note* Must be more subtle - lead them along a bit before mentioning the 'swap' word....

Now you're sailing really close to the wind whippersnapper.
Old people suffer terribly from flatulence and you won't know until it's too late if that's me upwind of you.

It's an interesting point, but with such a range of old overpriced crap to learn on, who can blame kids for not taking up biking.

    Born again Boy-Racers?
Reliving their youth driving some turbo'ed rice rocket?
Could biking be even more marginalised than now?
    Dunno Lou.
How hard will it be trying to get into a little coupe with all of the springs taken out of the suspension and the upholstery and then, even more difficulter, trying to get out again, when getting out of the LayZBoy requires a firm thrust on both armrests accompanied by an involuntary grunt?

Glad to see yo gone from "Grumpy Old Biker" to "Happy Old Biker", Lou! Must be the Summer weather? Just got back from Aus and it's stinkin' hot and sticky there! Saw most bikers ridin' in shorts an' t-shirts, even at open road speeds! Scary! The Aus road toll over the holidays was just as bad as here, too. What happened this year? Seems too many people just didn't know how to drive! Wonder if it was a world wide trend for these Hols. Anyone from England or USA can tell us? Just hope I'm still ridin' in 20 years! Impossible to say what will be on the roads by then, eh? My GSX will definitely fit the Vintage category! Mebbe I should keep it just for fun! See how long it will last.

I'm not a Born Again Biker - 4 kids, mortages, business's,I rode through the lot....I don't look back at the riding time I missed, but at the wonderful bikes I rode that people didn't think they could give away.I've never needed to ride the newest, the fastest....just to ride is reward enough to me.

But what could the young people of today look back at with nostalga twenty years from now? I don't know, but I don't think many BABs actualy did what they give the impression they did in days of yore, there were no Harley's back then,no one wore leather trou and Johhny Rebs, there were no wrap arounds and ''clean'' wasn't part of the scene.I think they will invent a past as the BABs of today have - they will emulate the MotoGP stars with replica bikes that actualy go faster than that crap Rossi rides now, their skill level will be such that they could lap him in a 4 lap race....the race look leathers will actuaaly be painted on and offer far more protection than what we wear today.

Nostalga is not remembering what we did....but what we thought we did.

Yeah and education is what is left. after you have forgetten everything you were taught at school!

Embrace the dementia before it happens, 'cus you ain't going to appreciate it when your crapping your pants and drooling on yourself.

Disclaimer: In light of recent events, I would like to make it quite clear that I am not suggesting you have dementia and crap your pants, and if you do that really is none of my concern. I meerly wished to add to the general air of light-hearted banter in this thread albeit partially at your expense.
