You got it right there.... i'm one of those people... i take a cage to work quite a bit and count the bikes that go past me on the m/way (i smile and wish i was on the back), i'm always to the side of my lane to let them past... funny thing is, usually the cage in front and behind seem to follow the leader and tend to pull over to where you are too... (helps i think).

was following a newbie biker yesterday, (in my cage, i think he was on a gn250) he was staying in my lane and took a bit to get first each time he stopped... figured he would appreciate the space if i gave him room in front and take up the lane .. i waited patiently for him to get going while the cages behind me wondered why my car wasn't moving... if your on KB dude, keep it up.. see you out there... (still wishing i was on my bike in the traffic... )

I look at it like this,I might encounter 1000 other vehicules in a days travel, out of all those I'll see 2-3 prats.
Most people are just going about their day to day life trying to get through the day with as few dramas as possible.
    I don't knock all car drivers,truck drivers,or sportbike riders.
Just the ones that piss me off.

I drive a company cage to work and always give bike room. I sometimes use my bike to do the 38k's to work and most motorists are good and yes, there's always the blockers.

You might find that the cage drivers who are good, are all motorcyclists.

when splitting the Tamaki Drive Superstage there seems to be an abundance of thoughtful cagers. Good on them I say.

Yes, when I im driving the wee truck at work I give way to our fabled 2 wheeled machines!
    Young & dumb!
