Saw you on wed heading out of devo around 8 i think, working on base at the mo so heading in opposite direction till uni starts back up.

Always tend to follow other bikers for a bit, if the pace is near enough I will stay there else move to another lane and pass by.

reading his apology, it sounds like he is becoming a biker...
dunno if it is lip service but it would be a good idea.

In fact, it should be law that anyone who causes an accident or gets caught disrespecting riders space should be made to pass a bike test. In serious cases they should be made to pass their full test before being allowed to drive 4 wheels.

    opinion

On Tuesday on the way home, a driver deliberately swerved out in front of me as I was safely sharing lanes due to grid-lock. (sum dum cager rear-ended another cage, causing injury. Hope they're ok but)

Of course, I had to slow down to give said driver the chance to correct his inappropriate action by moving back into his lane. A gap opened up in the other lane, I indicated and took it, drew along side the goober who was now straddling both lanes??, turned and looked at him as if to infer "whatchoo doin' Willis?".

He flipped me the bird and shouted something (I couldnt hear what because his passenger window was closed, it was blowing a gale, and well, I had a fricken helmet on :slap: ).

All I could think of to do in retaliation was laugh.
Laugh my ass off so he could plainly see me laughing my ass off and keep on laughing my ass off as I safely moved off up the middle of the traffic again. I bet I was home with feet up on the couch eating my dinner long before he got out of the queue.

Only one thing I can think of that would cause this type of behaviour. Jealousy.

The DJ was obvioulsy frustrated on his way to work by motorcyclists splitting past him, so took it out on the air. It's his job, and we all rant and rave about driver antics at the orifice eh? The difference is, millions of people don't tune into my office and listen to me naff on about how to take out cagers. (Thank god...)

Anyway, work beckons. Ride safe all!

Yeah, those of you who are old enough will remember there was some drama getting side intrusion beams into New Zealand cars because "there was no public demand".

They are there now though, so if you definitely want to avoid damaging a car you should definitely avoid the big flat panels ... :-)

my uncle had this happen to him when he was younger, maybe 15 years ago.

He is a big fucker, 6'4" and probably 120kgs at that point on a 1000cc bike of some discription.

Stuck his foot out and wrapped the door around the front side of the car.

    Problem solved. evil:
