    The german endurists...

Good bye from the "German Endurists"!

Today (Thursday) is our last day in New Zealand! Tomorrow, Friday the 20th.,
    is our flight to Sydney!

We spent 4 month and more than 12.000 km here and enjoyed every day and
    (nearly) each km!

We started our tour from Auckland and discovered the north island for 6
weeks. From Auckland to Pakiri Beach, Kohukohu, Houhura, Ninety-Mile-Beach,
Cape Reinga, Kerikeri, Kawakawa, Whitianga and the whole Coromandel
Peninsula. Further to Kawerau, Rotorua, Taupo, Tongariro NP, Gentle Annie to
Hastings and Napier then to Welington.

At the 5th. November we take the ferry to the south island and travelled
around for 2 month. Queen Charlotte Road, Marlborough Sound, Nelson, Farewell Spit, Murchison, Maruia Springs, Hanmer Springs, Le Bons Bay on the Banks Peninsula, Christchurch, Arthurs Pass, Buller Gorge, Westport, Karamea,
Westcoast down to Wanaka, Otematata, Oamaru, Portobello on the Otago
Peninsula, Dunedin, Gore, Athol, Queenstown and Glenorchy, Mossberg,
Manapouri, Te Anau, Milford Street and Sound, Crown Range, Twizel, Mt. Cook
(3x!), Lake Tekapo, Geraldine, Eastcoast up to Havelock.

Since the 2nd. January we're back on the north island and that's the way:
From Wellington (Islands and Owhiro Bay) to Levin, Wanganui, Parapara's, West of the Tongariro NP, to Hamilton, Ragland, Auckland. That's it!

We have travel-experience for more then 10 years, but never before we
experienced a hospitallity like in NZ! This take a big part of our happiness
and fascination on this journey and so we want to say: "Thank you!" to the
    lot of people we met.

    Espacially to:

Kerry from Motohaus (our first - and last - helping hand)

Jane and Mark from Wellington (good luck on your russia-travel!)

Pip and John from Otematata, (please say Thank you to Philippa and Michael
    from Athol)

Gale and Toddy from between Te Anau and Mossberg

Doris and Malcolm (Hi Malcolm, good luck for your scooter business)

Liz and Peer (a lot of fun and success at the preparing your europe journey)

Faye and Andy (Consumptionist like we... )

Clare and Warren (very nice trips, perfect for preparing our bike)

We hope that we've forgotten nobody... Isn't it amazing how many people we
    met in just 4 month?
It was great with all of you and we have had a really good time with you!
    Thanks a lot for this!
    :spudwave:

    All the Best

We're going to miss you both, so you better keep in touch! We really enjoyed your company while you stayed with us and you know you will ALWAYS be welcome back here. I'll start planning the menu now...!

You were wonderful guests to have, we had a lot of fun and think of you as friends now. I'm glad you had a great time in NZ and we hope the rest of your amazing trip is filled with good weather, good company and safe travels.

Bon voyage (I know, I should have asked Susanne what it was in German!) and our very best wishes go to you for the future.

Elke and Arne arrive here around the end of the month, and Tommy and Rosa will visit next month - if they are half as nice as you, we will enjoy their company as well.

Faye and Andy (and all the sheep!)

PS - I sold my BMW F650CS last weekend!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!
