    Oh the heat!!

37 bloody degrees!! I'm sitting here in nothing but a towel around my waist... have just had a shower in which for the first time in my life - pure cold water... and yet I'm sweating already. (I think an air-con machine is needed!)

So... how the hell do you ride in heat like this and yet still stay protected??

Seriously - I'm dying here while in a state of damn near nakedness!! Everything in the house feels like it has a heated rail attached to it...

/edit Just found the "I ain't used to this" thread which give some solutions... how effective would they be in 37 degrees though?

Tis easy, mate. You don't stop moving.....
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

you may not like this suggestion....but when its amazingly hot [or even not so hot] i ride in a tshirt and even a singlet. have crashed in such an outfit and didnt get a scratch, so im happy to tempt fate until i learn, lol.

as far as escaping the heat while online....buy a laptop and go sit out in some shade for a while.

37 is in the shade... and the laptop is nothing but an expensive radiator.

Hmmm... I wonder if i can modify a bike to incorporate a fridge?

    Hot

Those cool vests are of the material used at the Athens olympics on atheletes after warm up / before competition and cool down after events. They were also used as horse blankets not that anyone refers to you as being horse like...

This must be a serious problem over there and in other hot climates around the world. How about Paris-Dakar? Do those guys have a on board cooling system? Much like divers have warm water pumprd into their suits?
