    tyres for a zzr1100

    Hey guys
    Just bought A zzr1100, But she needs new tyres. I've got a renn sport in the shed off the old zx7r thats almost new for the rear. Do you guy's reckon it'll suit the ZZR ??? or might it be a bit soft?? also its a 190/50/17 were as the rear on the ZZR is a 180.???

    Mate of mine has Diablo Stradas (Pirelli) on his and he raves about them. Don't mess with the sizes though use the correct ones.

    I have Metzeler Z6's on mine - great tyres.

    The rear tyre should be a 180. A 190 is to wide for the rim thus giving the wrong profile. and obviously changing the handling characteristics.

    Yes! He let me 'Look after' it over the winter. I did 6k kms on it. loved it too! Scrubbed in the tyres for him. Took it to Paeroa last year too. Its a friggin fast bike. Hope you enjoy!

    I would stick to the right size. Murray from Bayride (lives in Kati Kati) is a nice bloke. He should look after you. He is registered on this forum.

    Umm...no...I think you'll find that his brother down in Broardlands might have done the "fucking" the tyres. I just ordered them then scrubbed them in nicely. How many Km's on the clock now?
