Bulk buy offer - Complete Detector System

I received a few PM's regarding my set up and it got me thinking. The current enforcement and subsequent ticketing will only get worse and there's alot talk here from people now seriously considering getting a system but don't know where to start or find it too expensive.

So here's what I'm prepared to do. I'll manage a group buy of a certain system and purchase this all directly from the US. We will need a detector, mount and optional HARD system (recommended).

To give you an idea, a new V1 in NZ costs about $1200. They list in the US for $399 US retail which is about $586 NZ. Add a bit of freight and you can see where I'm coming from. I've got the programming manual which will NZ'ize them.

And before you even think about what's in it for me... nothing except for the fact that I'm happy to help, have some connections in the US and want to keep bikers hard earned cash (and licenses) in their pockets.

Let me know what you think here first. The PM me if you're REALLY keen.

If anyone wants to take a closer look at my set in Auck they can come and have a look or I can post photo's

    Cheers, Finn.

I'll post some pics tonight as I don't have any on me at the moment.

Once I have the numbers confirmed we can go ahead. Depending on the freight method we all agree on (UPS fast & furiously priced) or post, slow but cheap then it should only take about a week.

I looked at importing a couple last year but found that by the time you took into account freight (expensive) and gst it was costing the same as what you could find on trademe (new). Trademe often has new ones for around $700 dollar mark. If you get a lot of them in you will make some savings. Also from memory it was difficult to find a website that sold both the valentine 1 detector and the hard system and was prepared to ship internationally.

$700 on trade me is a good price... provided they're not stolen like most of the V1's. I mean who would sell a V1? Why? Unless of course they are new - then grab it. I've sorted out the suppliers and I will be using 3. All ship internationlly. No problem.

A spoke to someone in NZ who said they re-program them. I called Valentine and they said this is easy and emailed me the manual. All I did was turn off x and k band and I'm away. Easy. You can adjust the sensitivity I think but I left mine factory.

Thanks for the info. I just found out that I actually NZ-ised my Escort myself a year ago

So much for "Re-programming"...........that word is a bit misleading then.
    Should be "configuring".
