    I haven't noticed any difference in radar detection from the rear. Even with the thermal liner in my jacket that's made of an aluminised fabric.

If you can zoom in on this pic it does let you see where it sits just left of the damper and it doesn't obstruct your view of the dials or any movements.
    Na nate, you'll have to better than this. Jolly poor show eh what.

To get around this tricky law you have to either take up smoking and die or use a house phone wire and splice one end into a live wire on the bike. Then you can simply unplug the detector from bike and plug into car in 2 seconds flat. Very handy that.
    One fault I found with my V1 cost me a ticket last year. It failed to function correctly while I was out for a short bike ride and the V1 was in my car which was at home. I am lodging a warranty claim with the manufacturer.

    No there's not. Just like there was no sarcasm in my post that was trying to answer your question with a dose of humour- humour that not aimed at your sensitive nature. Unless your are a smoker, because they take offence at everything.

    UPDATE

    Okay, I've received many PM's with a whole lot of people really keen to move on this.

    First we need to agree on the products and who wants the accessories such as a mount and the HARD system (the wireless flashing light)

    Here's what I suggest;

    Valentine 1 Detector $399US www.valentineone.com
    HARD System $160US (or poss better) www.legalspeeding.com
    Mount $69US www.techmounts.com/products (I suggest the control mount)

    Basically this will be around $925 NZ for the complete package. If you just want the detector by itself then it'll be $590NZ. We'll have to add some freight and GST (if the package of cookies gets intercepted by customs)

    Check out the sites and those of you who are really interested PM me. General questions should be posted here on the thread.

    Again, I do not stand to make a cent on this. I am not a store or have any affiliation to any of these suppliers. This is what I've got and I think it's a great system.

    Hey bro, shit can fall of the back of a truck.

    If hes getting a mint deal then it may be a case of getting the guys in the states to through a shit load of detectors in a bag and send them over. Just checking things out, so quite in the cheap seats
