i have noticed that CRUISER riders tend to wave or nod when i'm on the '73 honda or '72 bonne ....... the sportsbike riders usually only acknowledge me when i'm on the fazer [yes, and the cruiser riders don't]

Well I've noticed that I get a heck of a lot more waves on my ZX-10 than on my NZ-250, so must be a big-bore big-knob thing....![]()
"...you meet the weirdest people riding a Guzzi !!..."

Hell if only people would treat a bike rider as a rider and not what he rides the world and roads would be alot better off. so give a wave to a scooter rider as he is dealing with tin tops just the same as us![]()
I am thinking of getting a little dunger of a bike to commute on instead of taking the car. Will be interesting if I get the waves on that compared to riding the blade?..
WINJA I know you are already gonna say that I will get more waves on the dunger than the blade so I'll beat you to it.![]()
now thats a good way to go Fishslayer what kind would ya be looking at?
LB, this wasn't you by any chance ? Shame on those club members, looks like they've caused an international incident.Originally Posted by bladez

Me, I'll ride and park next to anyone , don't care what brand people have or are into , if they ride a bike that's great by me.
Funny you should get snobbed by a Ducati owner(s) , from my experience it's normally been the other way round from Jap bike owners saying my bike is shit or some comment about where the back up vehicle is. I personally don't give a shit either way. So sorry you got snobbed , please accept an apology from this Duc owner.![]()

Trip of a life time http://www.buenosaires-caracas.com.ar/tours.html
Trip details here
Slightly off topic, buuuuuuut: When I was doing a side trip during the Magpie Madness rally a dude on a Ducati went by the other way and gave me a wave. So what? He did it by taking his left hand off the bars and holding it out sideways level with the bars. It was really easy to see. So since then I've been waving like that and doing it early enough to give the other rider a chance to wave back. I have had every wave returned- new bikes, old bikes and (drum roll please)... HARLEYS! Give it a go.
My daughter telling me like it is:"There is an old man in your face daddy!"
Not to sure at the moment yet there are a few ideas floating around in my head.... could get a 150cc 2 stroka, or a genereal commuter GN250 or maybe a VFR400 or an older blade around 92-95 and turn it into a streetfighter/stunter? Just not sure at the moment which is probably a good thing cause I need to go and harvest the money trees first.Originally Posted by bladez

Hey WINJA whats wrong with Hondas they start and take corners sometimes well maybe not with me on it lol

WHERE DO I START , WELL WHY IS IT THAT YOUR 92 STANDARD IS NOT AS FAST AS A 1986 1000RX IN A STRAIGHT LINE , I THOUGHT BIKES WERE MEANT TO GET FASTER I OWNED BOTH THOSE BIKES AND LINED THEM UP. I BOUGHT A 98 BLADE AND THAT WAS A STEAMING PILE O SHIT IT WASNT AS FAST AS A 96 GSXR750 IN A STRAIGHT LINE AND WASNT EVEN CLOSE UNDER BRAKES OR IN THE CORNERS , ALSO A 2 UP ZX9 C1 MODEL COULD PULL AWAY FROM THE 98 BLADE DOWN THE STRAIGHTS AND HAD FAR BETTER HANDLING . I GUY ON A C1 2 UP FLEW PAST MY 98 BLADE WHICH WAS ONE UP AND I HAD A HEAD START , THAT WAS A SUNDAY AFTER NOON , I BOUGHT THE ZX9 THE NEXT SATURDAY MORNING.Originally Posted by bladez

SERIOUSLY IF YOUR GONNA UPGRADE GET A GSXR750T(96) OR LATER MODEL YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED.
BTW I BOUGHT MY HONDAS PARTLY BASED ON THEIR REPUTATION OF BUILD QUALITY AND THATS ALL BULLSHIT , MANUFACTURERS ARE ALL QUITE SIMILAR THESE DAYS
well WINJA its not what it looks like it is whats inside that counts and i find my bike can keep up with the modern fast bikes maybe just not on corners lol and i do agree with ya on the 98 blade as brother had one and it was a peice of crap pleanty of work on engine helps for speedOriginally Posted by WINJA

add 2 the comment above..... i must admit i have never riden a standed 92 as i brought mine as a x race bike witch came with all the goodys with it, unfortantly a month later i blew the engine, (GRRRRR to the owner before me with lack of care) now its rebuilt and going quite nicely, i do like the GSXR's and have owned a couple of suzukis and thought they where grate to but they where standed so i carnt compare my 92 with them.![]()
