    Two point something seconds

Ok, sorry for being a bit vague here. I picked up a TwoWheels (Aussie) mag a few weeks back, the one with the '06 ZX10R on the front.

After scanning through the mag, it turned out that Kawi reckons the new 10R is up around 2-3 seconds quicker for the same rider on their test track (granted, the track was very long, about 2 mins I think)...and then, the journo backed it up by going 2 point something (.3 from memory) seconds quicker on the '06 than on the '05!!

Seems damn impressive to me, and looks like it could actually be a genuine Gix1K killer. Can't wait 'til it hits the streets!!!

No good to me... I'm not intending on upgrading for another two years.
Don't suppose you've heard any gossip about the 08 versions yet?

You'll find The ZX10 has won Track stuff for awhile now , & International Bike of the year as well , Still has to be a all round bike , Track & road before it gets Bike of the year which it my just do this year ?? The K6 doesn't seem to have changed apart from Colour & stickers . Time will Tell !

Apparently the mid-range is a whole lot better than last year, and the delivery is much less manic, which should help it on the street too.

My bet is that the Kwak will take the honours (on average, since all mags, people, etc. always differ a bit) for best all round...

...but as per usual, the all new Suzi will clean up again on the year of its release...business as usual, and we all get better bikes, no matter our chose brand (those bastards that can afford them anyway)

Depends on the mags you read of course , the superbike free dvd had 2005 1000 tests. The 05 ZX10 then only got betten by the gsxr because of it's oem tyre choice. Still , nothing better than your own road test to compare bikes. Either way , they'd both be fine bikes.

THE K5 GOT IBOTY FOR 05 AND THE TEN GOT MASTERBIKE AGAIN FOR 05 , BOTH GOOD BIKES , BOTH BETTER THAN MOST OF US COULD USE TO THE LIMITS.
THE THING ABOUT THE 05 ZX10 IS IT GOT MASTERBIKE WITH NO STEERING DAMPER FITTED , SO THE STEERING DAMPER ALONE WITH SOME GEOMETRY CHANGES WOULD MAKE IT MORE OF A WINNER, NOTE THE K5 WON ALL THE PERFORMANCE FIGURES FOR 05 MASTERBIKE IT WAS THE HANDLING THAT LET IT DOWN , I THINK SUZUKI WILL SEND SOMEONE BETTER TO SET IT UP THIS YEAR , THE BIKE WAS BADLY LET DOWN BY SUZUKIS CHOICE OF TECHNICIAN

Meh, as long as it starts easy, not too hard on gas and has a shit-load of chrome I'm not TOO worried about performance - otherwise I'd sell the Sporty and for the same money get something with a whole lot more grunt/handling (but then it would have fairings, screen, water-cooling etc etc!!)
Each to their own, once upon a time I really drooled over performance figures too!!
