    ouch.

even the fxr starts getting thirsty out of town, it runs off vapour in town but $5 isn't gonna get you more than 150k.

Yeah? The RSV-R gets 200k's from $20 too. Maybe a little less around town or hammering it, but the open road gets me more. Even on a reasonably quick clip up from Taupo one morning I got nearly 240k's from a tank.

Worst consumption figures I have had from a road bike was on the TLR, where a tank lasted for 90k's - 'course that was round Pukie, be hard pressed to gobble that much gas on the road.

Dunno about dirt riding, the CR quite possibly uses more gas per km than even big road bikes do, especially in the sand round woodhill but I have no way of measuring it.

gutted, a full tank ($23) for me will go out to about the 240km mark before the reserve kicks in. I think i can push it out to another 60km on reserve, but so far my balls have sufficently shrunk at 40km into reserve for me to need to fill up again.

Bugger Fatjim, that VTR must be heavy to push up the 'Takas. I'd get about 100k from $5 (98), so you were a brave, brave man on the Honda.

i got 190k before reserve on the gn at country road gn speeds, but on my first few rides managed to get 220km before rserve....

$5 would go far if I had to carry you too Jim.

From what I have read its supposed to get about 23Kms/L tested at 60km/hr. I have read in a Superbike magazine test that they got 300km's out of a full tank which sounds about right. I reckon I get around the 250-280ks out of a tank. I should really measure it and see (might do it next time I go for a long trip).
