    I have heard the R1's are the hardest og the big four on your wrists and back.
    So be sure to testride the bikes and don't forget to consider the comfort factor too. The newest 2006 R1 Raven is one sweet looking bird!

    I happened to be in Canterbury Rides (Chch Yamaha dealer) this afternoon and they have a 06 blue R1 in there, beautiful looking machine, yum yum.

    That is. They gave us a warning at the CBTA course in christchurch about the problems with newbies on literbikes.

    As soon as people got their full license slip they went to testdrive R1 at one particular store, would rev it, drop the clutch and be doing 80 by the time they hit the car showroom on the other side of manchester street.

    Probably urban legend but by all those idiot videos I see I wouldn't be surprised either ...

    yes the new R1s look very nice but so do the blades hmmmmmmm very hard as love them both. not to worried about power as starting to slow down

    I've ridden 05 R1's and blades, but I prefer the K4's, never tried a K5/6. However I like the 10 a lot more, especially after having the suspension modified
