Smile Not quite an L-plate rider...

Well, I've got the bike (Kawasaki KR 150K bought via KB), now I just have to learn to ride the thing and get my licence. Any other learners or pre-learners out there?
I'm getting better at low speed stuff and taking off without stalling, but I'm a bit nervous about the various riding and theory tests I need to do (including the eye test lol). Nothing like learning to ride to make you feel 15 again.

Hi 'n welcome. Try this thread for some of your local KBers who I'm sure would be able to give you some pointers in person at some stage.

Welcome Rosie, good luck with your learning. There's plenty of KB'ers round your area who will be happy to help if you need any assistance.
It's just one of those days, where you don't wanna wake up,
    everything is fucked, everybody sucks,
You don't really know why but you wanna justify ripping someone's head off

The tests are fine. Just relax and enjoy yourself with the basic handling skills test. Welcome to the site

Hi Rosie! Welcome to our gargre!

If you're worried about the scratch tests - you can pre-buy all the possible test papers (The bike ones) for $5ish. You can get copies of the general part of the test too - but these are $2.50 each from memory. The bike road code has page refs for the answers. It was odd for me to re-sit all the general road theory after driving a car for 10 years!

    You'll be fine.

BTW Sweet ride! I was admiring that wee KR when it was for sale here...congratulations!

Thanks. Wee is right, especially parked next to the other half's KTM. But size doesn't matter does it!?
Of course not. The bike is the same colour as my helmet. That was all that mattered.

    Welcome Rosie,
Iam not really at a level to teach but keen to help out anyway i can and pass on any tips i have had given to me. My biggest problem is corners.... but i am certainly improving, it's all just confidence. will hook up for a short casual ride at some point.
