The R1's (called widow-makers by some) have a bit of a bad rep - they tend to kill/severely hurt their riders.

please don't tell me that's a serious answer..

no idea why they're selling. They're just as good a thou as the next one. Yeah, on paper blah fuckin blah..
ride all the bikes, buy the one that puts the biggest grin on your face and feels the best for you. Cos you have to ride it, not anyone else

I HEARD THE R1S RIDE IS A LITTLE SOFT FOR BIGGER RIDERS , BUT I THINK TO MANY PEOPLE SET THEIR BIKE UP TOO HARD FOR THE ROAD ANYWAY, THEY CONFUSE HARD SUSPENSION WITH GOOD HANDLING WHICH MAY BE GOOD ON THE TRACK BUT WHEN THE BIKE NEEDS TO REACT TO POT HOLES AND CATS EYES ON THE ROAD THE SOFTER SUSPENSION CAN GIVE CONTACT FOR LONGER WHICH MEANS MORE GRIP ,IN MY OPINION SOFETR SUSPENSION IS BETTER IN THE WET AS WELL , TAKE ONE OUT I BET YOULL LIKE IT , AS FOR THE NEW BLADE I DONT CARE MUCH FOR HONDAS.

I got to ride one through some twisties last weekend for the first time - holymotherofpearl bags of grunt! I never got past 3rd gear...
Infinitely less flickable then the 600rr but when you conciously 'put' them in the corner, well... look at the picture...

Nuffin wrong with them aye, I love mine, reckon if you can REALLY notice the fractional difference between them on the road then you out to be getting paid to do it.

NO it was not - all the 1000's are great bikes from the articles I've read.

A bike mag - I dunno which sorry (think it's Superbike)- but it's on the shelves right now - has done a comparison with all the older 1000's that won best bike of the time - Starting from around 2000 I believe.

Judging from your comments you're not addicted to one brand so test ride them all and see which one puts the biggest grin on your face, as that's the only real-world test there is.

no this is not a bias answer

mate there is nothing wrong with them I would own one but it wasnt $10,000 better than what i have now, neither is the thou, zx10 ,blade etc...

its a fine bike if you get it for the right price...

and its pure sex on wheels if you ask me...

a zx10 might be the shizz, but it looks like a dogs arse..
