'none of my business' i thought. 'all the cops are tied up' i thought (there had just been a big car chase around cambridge culminating in the bad guys crashing near my house) .

couldn't leave it alone though could i, and i approached the guy, telling him i had called the police, and they were coming (i hadn't and they weren't). he said 'fair enough'. then he said 'what for?' he was pissed. real pissed. he had urinated right outside the driver's door, and was CUT.

i thought fuck it, and reached in a pulled the keys out of the ignition. he wasn't very happy bout that, and got out, and we had a wee pushing match over the bonnet of his car, until i quietly explained the consequenses of his actions to him.

he then said my name, and i realised that i had pinged him fro drink driving about 4 years ago (must have left an impression huh?). i locked his car, and told him he could pick up his keys from the station in the morning.

    what a cunt i am.
I thought we were innocent untill proven guilty in this country and here you are acting like Wyat Earp because you saw a guy drinking beer in his car (a stationary car). Yup I know I will provoke the old "but Im saving lives" and "Ive seen too much gurgling blood before" story but acting like judge, jury and executioner is not the way for anyone to behave (especialy for a rozzer). If you want to drag drunken pricks out of thier cars and provoke a scrap in the premise that they may drive (and gloat about your bravery here) then you have chosen the wrong profession. Do it right or don't do it at all..

Marty if ya still wanted to be a cop so much why the fuck did you leave for, or are you the sort of guy that is a do as I say not as I do sort of Cunt, as I noticed on a recent Coro Loop ride your busa had its rear tire down to the canvas so if ya want to go around pointing the finger tidey up your own act first, cause otherwise you just end up looking like the clown that you are

Revenue collectors get away with too much... as I am still driving a car (as much as I hate it), they seem to do drivers for the same things they get away with... last night, driving through town (hamilton, off victoria street south). Went round a corner, there was a stupid car in the middle of the fluffing road, completely stopped, holding his brakes, I do a quick check, no pedestrians or other moving vehicles, and quickly go around him, go down another street, park, get out my car, and a cop starts bitching at me about how i could have run over someone and that I'm going to get a ticket in the mail???

Anyway, dropped some friends off this morning (5am Saturday) in my dad's 7-seater, on my way back, and this cop revs past me, right across a median (NO FLASHING LIGHTS). 50km area, he got too about 80 - 90 km/h... now I ask, where's the justice

Yeah right on Marty, there should be more people like you around.
Fuck the wankers RIGHTS,what about the rights of the biker he kills?? It'll be a different story from the bleeding heart brigade then aye.
Some of these whingers are starting to sound just like the kind of arseholes that are slowly making the country a crap place to live.
His rights, fuck his rights!!!!What the guy did was WRONG,end of fucking story.
What he needed was to be dragged from his car and smashed into a bloody fucking mess by an outraged member of the public.
A bit more of that and the bleeding heart libral wankers might crawl back into their holes and the country could start to recover from their PC "it wasn't my fault" BULLSHIT!!!

    yep

Happy to stand along side Marty, Lou and Jackrat on this one, I would have done the same thing as Marty if I had been in Cambridge that day, maybe 20 years in the job has caused me to rethink the whole" their rights thing" sorry if you don't like the blood and guts argument, it's the only one I can relate to.

i didn't do what i did out of public duty, i did it so that it was one less drunk that me and my kids had to dodge on the way home. i didn't song and dance and want him charged, and i just walked away. yeah my tyre was down to the canvas - my call - it wasn't when i headed out in the morning, and i rode accordingly once i found out it was.

like i said - what a cunt i am, but at least i had the balls to stand up for MY rights.

I remember about 15 years ago I was in my Honda prelude and I
was driving badly - not drunk (ie) I passed a car on a median
strip and wasn't wearing my seatbelt * urgh cringe*

anyway...I notice i'm getting followed by a motorcycle down a few roads, so I eventually pull over and it pulls up behind me. The M/C rider comes over (he took his helmet off ) and gives me a bollocking and said the next time he sees me do something like that he will be in uniform and he will give me a ticket - but he didn't then. I assumed cos he wasn't on the job and he was out leisurely riding his bike.

I deserved one tho. and he did make me think about my driving - it did actually sink in what he did/said.

Now riding a bike myself I understand why the guy was soooo angry at a dangerous driver!!

I was never aware that they needed their lights on all the time when attending a scene. Ive seen cops race around then turn them on for lights etc just my 2c

A guy walks into a crowded bar he yells "All of you on the right of me are cunts, all of you on the left are wankers" Drinks a beer and walks out.

Half an hour later he comes back in and again yells "all of you on the right of me are cunts, all of you on the left are wankers"

The local tough guy comes up to him and says "I'm no wanker" so he says "Well get over there with the cunts then"

    Ba doom tish.

Sadly as I get older my theory is that half of everyone is cunts. (luckily I'm just a cunt half of the time)

    Sedge.

So you'd rather leave the drunken prick in his car,let him drive away and possibly kill someone? Marty did the right thing

    umm. no.

keys were in the ignition, he was in the drivers seat.

i didn't drag him out, i took his keys. i didn't provoke a scrap. i was as polite as i could be.

i don't think i was gloating. just telling it like it was.

i don't have to justify my actions to anyone except myself anymore - one of the joys of being out the job, so to those who support me, and to those who don't.

Should have scrapped him , would have been more fun + if you could provoke him to throw the first punch it would have been even better.
Would hate to have to call you a ch*ck*n
