fouling plugs?

i'm having a prob with my bike i can put in a new plug...maybe an hours riding and it's fine after that it bogs and splutters at about half revs.... maybe the coil is shagging plugs...it aint crappy plugs because i'm using ngk's any ideas guys?

it's getting expensive at 9 dollars a plug LOL

any help would be appreciated.

Could be your mixture mate. Clean the carbs, check the float levels and give that a good tune. Might not be the leads or coil.

as sniper said, It will be the carb or something of the likes...

Cleaned your air filter lately?
Changed your fuel/oil mix or brand of oil?
Is your float sticking?
If you haven’t been playing about with the mixture settings it should be as you left it, but not always...
Try an iridium plug, last a bit longer.

brand new air filter...just put a new carby on it....... ddn't make a difference it's fine when you first put the plug in is awesome all round but the plugs seem to be shitting themselves very quickly ....sigh.... i have been playing round with the mixture and so on and got a it running better it's been doing this for a while and i used 98 fuel for a while recently but then went back to the usual 91 put a new plug in and it shitted that it has a major bogging and splutter at about 1/2 revs but if you go more revs than that it seems fine...had the same prob with old carby ....the new carby is bigger

but it is making the plugs basically black so it must be running too rich...i guess:S

any leaner it runs like crap though and tops out too soon ....

maybe i should tweak the carby a bit more then aye

thing is it's hard to get at the air correction screw the easiest way is to take the carb off to adjust it .....which isn't my preferred way

just seems strange a new plug last like 1 hour then the problem comes back and i don't think i will go for an iridium plug at $30 something each

If you are running black then you are running fuel rich. Its the unburned fuel that causes the soot.

Is your float level correct ?

ill have to wait until tuesday when work opens up to find out the factory float level for the carby
