best way to clean your bike?

Is ther some good products to clean up the plastic etc? mine is a bit scratched up and could use a tidy up. I've water blasted it etc, but it's still got black oil marks on it.

    cheers for you help.

Super cheap have degreaser on sale at the moment for $1.99 a can. Dunno about the quality, or if it is "plastics-friendly" so I'd try in on the underside to begin with

Thats one good thing about the bike being in bits - its gonna get the clean of its life!

I just use CRC or similar as its got the same stuff in it as degreaser, then polish to protect.

My ex was a Motorcycle groomer and he swore by diluted Handy-Andy. It does a great job as a degreaser if you leave it for abit ( not too long tho but 5/10 mins is sweet ). I can vouch for it as being a great cleaner and it is plastic and alloy friendly.

    Thumbs up

Use a "cutting compound" for minor scatches and tar/oil. Has worked for me in the past. Good idea to give it a good wax'n afterwards though...protection and all. Can buy a colour coded Turtle wax too which does work to an extent. Comes with a chip stick too.

If all else fails...as Buggie said

Buy a 4litre container of degreaser from the Warehouse, watch it on alloy etc unless you water it down a bit.
Top stuff for de-scunging engines etc.

I find that concentrated Simple Green works well.Trouble is with degreasers on a dirt bike, you aren't getting grease off, just dirt. You need something that does a bit of both. After the wash I just hit it with whatever I have a spray can of,WD40,Inox,Silicon dressing....just gotta make sure it's not a can of paint....
