I could understand leaving a Honda lying around with the keys in it...but a Yamaha???

did you see if they got back to it???? maybe it was set up for a drug deal LOL
so you now have an r1 in your garage mate(kidding) LOL
They must have been picked up from there - bike had a front disc lock on it, but key left in the ignition.Originally Posted by FlangMasterJ

I rang back ten minutes later and was told they couldn't make contact so I told them to tell the owner I was putting the key next to the lock (slightly hidden) - I thought this had to be safer than it sitting in the ignition.
Jimbo and I saw the guy heading North up River Road later in the afternoon, so he must have found it.

good on yah mate.
i dont think i would of gone through the trouble (mainly cause im 16)
Well what would you do? Run through the streets stark naked at 350 miles per hour with bells on your toes?
I came across a bike in Hamilton one day with the key left in,so I took it out an sat it on top of the front wheel under the guard.
Rider must of worked it out as the bike was gone an hour later.
Glad I don't have to worry about people wanting to steal my bike. I can leave it anywhere with the key in the ignition and noone will look twice at it cause its a slow old honda.![]()

Most likely, once he found his keys he probably took off with the stand still down.
