    More cops than usual.

I went for a long ride yesterday through Arthurs and the Lewis pass.

I noticed a large number of police from Christhcurch st Arthurs

For those of you who came back from the Hokitika rally was there a higher police presence on the road thand is usual for a rally or just the usual number?

Rode through Harihari on Friday (midday - heading north) and saw TWO cops. One HP in the town on the end of the straight...waiting. One mufti (Lionel Ritchey) on the outskirts. Got the warn from a cruiser - ta dude.

Didnt see any coppers on the APass road Friday night though.

There are a bunch of cops from Nelson on the coast at the moment including 4 mufti's plus when I stopped at the Bealey on the way over on Friday there were 2 marked cars and one mufti car staying at the cabins there. The chick behind the bar said they were there for a few days. I don't know if they were Chch or Coast cops.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, .... but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,... shouting "man, what a ride"!!!
